The Public Works Department administers street and road maintenance (including street light outages), public buildings and grounds, and the City mechanic. Headed by the Public Works Department Director, you will also find the Crew Chief, administrative support personnel, as well as the Engineering Division ready to help you with your questions.

The City of Marina has awarded the 2019 Citywide Street Repair Project to Monterey Peninsula Engineering. Construction begins on October 14th and will continue for 12 weeks.
The project will address specific areas of pavement failures within certain roads with full-depth reconstruction patches, or digouts, cape seal wearing course and a pavement preserving slurry seal.
