The City of Marina's Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan describes improvements at Glorya Jean Tate Park, including restroom upgrades and other active amenities. On November 13, 2018, community members were invited to an open house on the park's design and a pallet of park amenities. Along with contributions from the Recreation & Cultural Service Commission, the Public Works Commission, and stakeholder representatives for the Fort Ord Trail and Greenway, the concept plans were presented to the City Council on April 9, 2019.
On February 10, 2021, results from the previous meetings and an online survey were presented as an updated preliminary plan for the park along with a bicycle pump track to City Council.
Glorya Jean-Tate Park Bicycle Pump Track project includes the demolition of fencing, irrigation, turf landscaping, and hardscape and includes furnishing new ADA parking stalls, concrete paths, bike pump track, site furnishings, irrigation, and landscaping.
