The City of Marina is seeking public input on proposed changes to the City’s Master Fee Schedule. Anyone can submit a formal statement, question or concern via e-mail to Laura Pruneda, Finance Director at lpruneda@cityofmarina.org by July 1, 2024. City staff will consider all formal statements before presenting any proposed user fee changes to the City Council at a Public Hearing on July 2, 2024. Pursuant to state law, certain fees changes cannot become effective until 60 days after adoption of the adjusted fees. As such, the intent is for all fee adjustments to become effective September 1st, 2024.

About every five years, the City reviews its Master Fee Schedule. Staff take the time to review each fee and evaluate the cost of providing each related service. Fully burdened rates include the cost of direct labor and employee benefits, direct materials, overhead costs and fixed asset or depreciation charges. The last time the City of Marina engaged in a Fee Study Update was 2018. Schedule 1 of the Fee Study Update captures proposed fee changes and is available here. Additional details are available upon request.
