The City of Marina is accepting applications for five (5) Building Appeals Board members.
The Building Appeals Board shall consist of five members appointed by the City Council. Members of the building appeals board need not be residents of Marina, but is preferred. Members of the board must not be employees of the City of Marina. The Building Official shall be an ex officio member of the Board of Appeals but shall have no vote on any matter before the Board.
Members of the board shall be persons who are qualified by experience, training or licensing to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. The City Council shall endeavor to appoint persons who are knowledgeable in the construction or design of buildings and who are familiar with the content and application of the buildings standards code
