[ARCHIVED] Marina Police Officer Injured While Taking Suspect Into Custody

On July 23, 2009, approximately 11:37 AM, a Marina Police Officer responded to a report of
theft of services. On his arrival, the officer attempted to contact the suspect, Irma Pellum 43
y.o., she became belligerent and aggressively fought with the officer. The officer received minor
injuries for which he was treated and released from medical care.
Pellum was taken into custody. She was charged with battery on a police officer, theft,
damaging police equipment, and delaying and obstructing an officer. She was booked into
Monterey County Jail.
