On Tuesday, April 7, 2020 the City Council will conduct its first Meeting via Zoom
For the duration of the Governor’s Stay at Home Order, City Council meetings will be facilitated via the Zoom application in order to observe social distancing as directed by the Governor and advised by the CDC. The Mayor and all members of the City Council will be participating remotely.
Just as before, agenda packets will be made available at www.cityofmarina.org on the Agenda Packets & Minutes web page at least three days prior to the meeting.
Those wishing to view the meeting may do so by one of two ways: (1) viewing the web stream available on the City’s website or tuning into the Marina Channel on cable channel 25; or (2) by joining the Zoom meeting on their computer or using the call-in information to participate by phone. The Access & View Meetings web page provides links and information on how to access the web stream or join the Zoom meeting. Information on joining the Zoom meeting via computer or telephone is also listed on the top of the City Council Agenda.
Members of the public can fully participate in remote meetings the same as before by submitting written comments to marina@cityofmarina.org before 5 p.m. on the day of the meeting, or by participating in the Zoom meeting on their computer or telephone and providing oral comments at the appropriate time. Public comments will be received through audio only without the use of web cameras. Please visit the Participate in Remote Meetings web page to learn more.
Members of the public that are new to Zoom are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the application prior to the meeting. There is a short Zoom tutorial video available here on the Zoom website or by contacting Matt Mogensen, Assistant City Manager at mmogensen@cityofmarina.org for a one on one orientation.
