NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN calling for a general municipal election in the City of Marina on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for the election of certain city officers and measures; and requesting the County of Monterey agree to the consolidation of the election with the statewide general election and requesting the County Elections Department to render any and all services required to conduct the election.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that a general municipal election will be held in the City of Marina on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for the purpose of electing one (1) person to the Office of City Council Member from District 1 and one (1) person to the Office of City Council from District 4; and one (1) person to the Office of Mayor for the term of four (4) years each.
The Nomination filing period to qualify as an official candidate for the November 8, 2022, election will open Monday, July 18, 2022, and closes 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022. The filing period will automatically be extended to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022, if there are no elected incumbents currently seated.
Interested registered voters of the City of Marina may obtain Nomination Papers from the Office of the City Clerk during regular business office hours between 8:00 a.m.- Noon and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., Monday, thru Friday at the Marina City Hall, 211 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina, California
